Above: My finished gazebo. Took about 2 days to do. Click to enlarge!

Above: A rough version of the same gazebo. I counted 3 issues:
1) needed some foliage to liven it up
2) the roof does little to suggest shingles rather than something from Super Mario Bros.
3) How are you supposed to get inside???

Above: Life drawing with an exaggerated head. Just to shake things up.

Above: In meetings, you can draw girls with carrots in their hands

Above: Sometimes it's oh so satisfying sketching on paper bags.

Above is my finished Tomato Land

Above is a Disney Lilo and Stitch background (borrowed from AnimationBackgrounds.blogspot) that helped inspire the layout of Tomato Land.

Characters and Background

Below are some kids and their magical friends.

My final in a series of playground images. I've never considered myself a strong background artist, but I've been having a lot of fun with these Illustrator images of inner-city playgrounds.

Two previously-posted background paintings with more traditional colors.

--This I did last week and forgot to post. Experimentation in color.
